In 1986 Snow made a 7-day concert tour of NS and Nfld; NS Premier Buchanan declared "Hank Snow Week" in NS (20-27 July 1986). In 1994 Snow published The Hank Snow Story, written with Jack Ownbey and Bob Burris (published in association with the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame by University of Illinois Press). Bear Family Records (Germany) is releasing the complete Hank Snow RCA Victor and RCA Victor Thesaurus (transcription series) recordings in a series of CD box sets.
Snow received an honorary degree from St Mary's University in 1994. In 1995 Liverpool, NS, held an 81st birthday party to raise money for the Hank Snow Country Music Centre, which opened in 1997.
